Director: Dr Jixue (Jerry) Liu
The Database and Web Engineering Group works on the development of new models and technologies used in databases and web information systems. These models and techniques meet complex application requirements and aim to provide increased flexibility, interoperability, and modeling power that is required by the spread of E-Commerce technology and the World-Wide Web. Work in the Database and Web Engineering Group covers the whole span from basic to applied research including formal properties of relational databases, object-oriented bases, XML databases, workflow and Enterprise modelling, and the representation and querying of data on the Web.
